1st destination: Penang

Last Tuesday, my aunt and her husband decided to go back Kangar because it was my aunt's mother-in-law death anniversary. My aunt invited my parents and me to go with them since we never been to Kangar before. Kangar was located in Perlis. We departed early in the morning, around 6.15am so that we have time to visit Penang for a while. Although it was a long journey, I enjoy it very much. I get to see the beautiful sunrise.

It took us about 5 hours to reach Penang. I found that Penang is an attractive and unique place. I saw a lot of temples while travelling in Penang. That's why I said it is unique. Hehe... I never been to a place where there are so many big and small temples. We visited Kek Lok Si, Penang famous temple and also the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. The temples itself consists of several large halls for assembly and prayers. We need to climb a lot of stairs to get to each hall. I get a lot of exercise by visiting this temple. haha..

Besides that, there is a pond filled with Koi in the temple.

There is also a turtle pond further inside the temple. At around 12 o'clock, Uncle Kooi Kim, my aunt's husband's fourth brother, took us to try penang laksa and other penang famous food.

Penang's Loh Bak ( in Hokkien), meat inside. I like this dish. :) Dip with chilli sauce will be more nicer.Penang cendol, not too sweet...just nice. I like this cendol because the 'green green thing' inside this cendol is smother than the one in my hometown. Hehe... After having lunch, we pass by Gurney beach and head for the Nyonya Heritage where the Singapore drama, Little Noyonya shot its film.Unfortunately, I only get to shot some pictures outside because the entrance fee was expensive. It was awesome.Hehe...trying to peep inside. It is really spic and span inside. I managed to see some of the antiques. I felt so glad and happy that I got to visit this historical place. Its a good thing that the authorities have kept the whole building so well so that our generation can get to see this beautiful monument.
