09.09.09

What an auspicious day! I received a msg from my cousin, Iris telling me that my neighbour's daughter who was my senior (in high school) was getting marry. She and her hubby have registered on this unique day. So surprise. There's no 'sign' of her getting marry. Anyway, I'm not at my hometown now. So...it's not strange that I don't realise about it. Haha... She (23 years old) and her hubby had been together for 9 years since high school. She uploaded some of her pictures at the registeration hall in facebook. Then, to my 'bigger' surprise, I found out that my another ex-schoolmate has registered with her hubby on the same day too! :0 They were also been together for a very long time already. Wow, so many people chose to register on that day. The whole registration hall was full of happy, anxious and excited faces.

In chinese tradition, 09.09.09 means everlasting. Couples believe that if they chose this day to marry, their marriage would last forever. It is also a blessing. That's why so many people have chosen this day to tied the knot. ^^ So happy for them yet envy at the same time. Hehe... I wonder when is my turn.....

1st destination: Penang

Last Tuesday, my aunt and her husband decided to go back Kangar because it was my aunt's mother-in-law death anniversary. My aunt invited my parents and me to go with them since we never been to Kangar before. Kangar was located in Perlis. We departed early in the morning, around 6.15am so that we have time to visit Penang for a while. Although it was a long journey, I enjoy it very much. I get to see the beautiful sunrise.

It took us about 5 hours to reach Penang. I found that Penang is an attractive and unique place. I saw a lot of temples while travelling in Penang. That's why I said it is unique. Hehe... I never been to a place where there are so many big and small temples. We visited Kek Lok Si, Penang famous temple and also the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. The temples itself consists of several large halls for assembly and prayers. We need to climb a lot of stairs to get to each hall. I get a lot of exercise by visiting this temple. haha..

Besides that, there is a pond filled with Koi in the temple.

There is also a turtle pond further inside the temple. At around 12 o'clock, Uncle Kooi Kim, my aunt's husband's fourth brother, took us to try penang laksa and other penang famous food.

Penang's Loh Bak ( in Hokkien), meat inside. I like this dish. :) Dip with chilli sauce will be more nicer.Penang cendol, not too sweet...just nice. I like this cendol because the 'green green thing' inside this cendol is smother than the one in my hometown. Hehe... After having lunch, we pass by Gurney beach and head for the Nyonya Heritage where the Singapore drama, Little Noyonya shot its film.Unfortunately, I only get to shot some pictures outside because the entrance fee was expensive. It was awesome.Hehe...trying to peep inside. It is really spic and span inside. I managed to see some of the antiques. I felt so glad and happy that I got to visit this historical place. Its a good thing that the authorities have kept the whole building so well so that our generation can get to see this beautiful monument.

Farewell-cum-birthday dinner

Last sunday, my cousin's friend, Uew Wen, held her birthday-cum-farewell party. She is 21 year old now and will be leaving for England early next month. All the dishes are very delicious and tasty. I like the braised yam with vege and the lemon chicken. We gave her a bag for her to use in England and buy 20 lovely cupcakes for her. Oh, ya. Should buy one more. Haha.. Didn't think of that. Wow, these cupcakes aren't cheap.

My cousins and me

There's one thing funny about this dinner is the decoration. Look at the red chinese word on the red wallpaper. It is use for wedding. Haha... Guess nowadays it can use for any celebration as long as the celebration is a happy one. Hahaha...

Hand-made bookmarks....

Recently, I have been influenced by my cousin, Kalye, in making bookmarks. All the bookmarks are for her club. They want to raise funds for her school by selling those bookmarks. Since I'm still searching for a job, I might as well use these free time to help her. After all, I like making handicraft. In fact, I found that I have forte in making bookmarks. Haha..... Most of her friends love the bookmarks that I made. They even asked me to make another one ( coz I only make one for each type of bookmark )! I'm so bliss to hear that. Hahaha....

I like this apple bookmark very much. It looks so .....Perfect!

This Elmo bookmark was bought by Kalye's teacher. Wow~ can attract teacher to buy one~ Haha~

What do you think this bookmark looks like? I thought it's a cow but, my another cousin keep saying it's a white tiger. Hmmm....Anyway, Kalye's friend asked me to make some more of this bookmark. :)

I just finish making this Keropi yesterday and I was sold out today. In fact, Kalye's friend request for another one. Yipee~~ Looks like I can sell hand-made bookmarks as my part-time in near future....

Transformers 2's Day

What a wonderful weekend. First, I went to the temple with my cousins and aunt. After that, we had our breakfast in a cafe at Bangsar. There was a stall inside the cafe which is famous for its Sarawak Laksa. So, I ordered it. Wow, it was really delicious. Exactly the same as the one in my hometown. Well, I've tried Sarawak Laksa at Kepong before. It is awful. The soup was not spicy enough and it doesn't look attractive. I guess the shop owner was just selling for its NAME but not the dish! For those who have tried the really Sarawak Laksa at any states in Sarawak before, you should know what is the actual taste of the laksa. This is the Sarawak Laksa that I ate yesterday. Really tasty......

After filling up our stomach, our next destination is The Curve~~ Went there for movie~~ Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen. Wow, Cineleisure was so crowded. Everyone was so desperate for Transformers. Most of the tickets are selling fast. Although we managed to buy the 12.15pm show, we have to sit in the 1st row! Ah..it doesn't matter to me. As long as I get to watch the movie I've been waiting for. Haha....

Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen was awesome and terrific. There were new members of Deceptions and Autobots. I fell in love with The Twins. They were so cute and humorous in spite of always quarelling. Haha... However, Bumblebee is my life-time favourite autobot. He is so friendly and sweet. It made me burst into laughter seeing Bumblebee crying when Samuel told him that he couldn't follow Samuel to college. I never thought that autobots can cry!! Haha~~

My favourite scene is when Bumblebee and The Twins accompany Samuel on his mission to find the matrix in order to bring back Opitmus's life. It was so cool seeing Bumblebee leading them. Like a big brother guiding his little brother. Haha....

Luckily, Bumblebee wasn't hurt this time. Unlike in the 1st espisode, Bumblebee's leg was broken. I nearly cried that time. So pity for him~~ I was shocked when Optimus died in this episode. The scene was so touching. Optimus sacrifced himself to save Samuel when Samuel was being chased by the Deceptions. Luckily, he regain his life again.

After watching the movie, we shop for a while before going back home coz my aunt said that there was sales in front of cold storage. The shirts are very cheap. But, you have to 'dig' in order to get the shirts you like. Well, I managed to buy 2 shirts which I like it very much and it only cost me RM22 altogether. Haha..

Tangkak Trip

Yeah~ Another trip again. Last Saturday, my fren, ZX, invited me, YH, Alex and her gf to her hometown --- Tangkak. I'm so excited about it coz my uncle told me that Tangkak is famous for durians~ My favourite fruit. Hehe~ We departed at around 11am.

This is what I saw along the journey--- Oil Palm Tree. Haha~ On the way, ZX kept telling us that Tangkak is a very very small town. I wonder how small could it be. After 1 and a half hour car drive, we reached Tangkak finally. Well, to my surprise, what she said is true. Her hometown is really small. It's like you are driving in a circle. Haha~ It's a T-junction. So, you either go straight, turn left or right and you end up at the starting point. Wow~ I never been to such a small town. We were all hungry by the time we arrived. Therefore, ZX took us to eat beef noodles which is the most famous food there. So, we have to turn right at the junction. Haha~

It is really tasty. I like the soup because it was boil using herbs. Nutritious~ Hehe~ However, it is not cheap. It cost me RM5.00. Well, beef is not cheap too. So, it is expected. But, the drinks are cheap. It's only RM0.60 for bailey. You can't find such cheap drinks in KL. After that, we paid a visit to Gunung Ledang.

Walking up the stairs to find a suitable spot for us to 'play' . Haha~

They enjoy themselves so much. Haha~ We were like back to childhood. Spashing water at one another and even catching fish. We spent the whole afternoon at there. Then, we went to her parent's shop to take our bath. We spotted this sign board on the way to her parent's shop. Read carefully on the english clause. It's kinda hard to understand. Why don't they use the word 'cheap' instead. Won't it be better? IF YOU THINK SAFETY IS CHEAP, TRY ACCIDENT. Then, people will think of the importance of safety, will they?

At night, ZX's parents treat us for dinner at the ONLY restaurant in her hometown. The dishes served was quite nice. We have no other option since that is the ONLY restaurant in town. After dinner, ZX's parent decided that we went to her uncle's cyber cafe for a while before heading to her grandfather's house where we will spent the night. This is my first time stepping into a cyber cafe and it's free of charge. Haha~~ We online for a while at there. At around 10 o'clock, we decided to called it a day. ZX's grandfather's house was very clean and neat. There are 7 rooms in his house. So, it's more than enough for us. Hehe~~

The anxiety and happiness inside us make us doesn't feel sleepy. After cleaning ourselves, we decided to play monopoly ( long time din play dy ). I was the last player at the beginning and also the player with the least house. While YH is the player with the most houses and money. Unfortunately, at the end, YH is the player who lost everything to Alex and Alex becomes the winner. Haha~ As for me, I'm kinda statisfied with what I have because they kept stepping on my utilities lots which earned me lots of money. LOL~~ We slept at around 2 am.

Refreshing...

I went to cut my hair yesterday. It was an 'oppurtunity' because my aunt's friend was bringing her daughter to have her dye. So, my aunt asked me interested to join in or not since my hair was kinda messy already. After thinking, I decide to go. I'm glad that I make a wise decision. I like my new hairstyle. It's the type hairstyle I was thinking of doing. Moreover, the price was not so expensive compare to the money that I paid for my previous hairstyle. It was over hundred ringgit and the outcome wasn't that obivious.

It was supposed to be the 'zig zag' hairstyle aka ' popcorn hair '. Can u see it?

DaDa~~ This is my new look. It's curly. My cousins said that it suits me. It's easy to take care of compare to other types of curly hair. Hehe~~ Besides that, long straight hair doesn't suits me too. So, this kind of lenght is just nice. Haha~~

I Love Yoo!!

Wake up in the morning as usual. Thought yesterday was going to be another 'normal' day but all of a sudden " you've got an sms, sms " ,OMG, that was my message ringtone. Who was it from, I wonder. To my surprise, it was from a guy whom I had a crush druing our graduation trip. He was an ambitious and smart guy. He is also cute in someways ( I get to realise it during the trip ). Haha....Well, I always long to go out with him again after the trip. Joyful, happy, bliss were all the decripritions for me. I quickly took a bath and then had my breakfast. How I wish the outting was only me and him. Ok...I don't mind if there's another guy friend joining.... Unfortunately, I got an sms from my gal friend asking whether she could join or not. Whatelse could I say?? I can't say "NO" , can I?? To be honest, the reason I don't want her to join is because... SHE IS CLOSE WITH THAT GUY!! Don't get me wrong. They were just close friends. But, it still made feel uneasy. I took a train to Midvalley.

Reached Midvalley after 30 minutes. It was a casual outting, a gathering ( to be more specific ). We watched Night At The Musuem 2. Just 3 of us; me, him and the gal. It should be 2 gals and 2 guys. But, Roger had something else to do. So, he will meet us in the noon. The movie was very interesting and most of all funny. We had a great laugh. Too bad I wasn't sitting beside him. Oh, my. What's wrong with me? "Fever " ah! Haha... No wonder people said " Love can make you lose control of yourself ".
Most of the scenes are very funny. Even the Ahkmenrah was a funny guy despite his evil doings. The way he speaks and acts. This is Ahkmenrah who is trying to regain his power after being 'buried' for so many centuries.

I think these two little monkeys made the movie more lively through their gesture and the way they communicate with the other characters. Haha... Monkeys are the closest creature to human beings. Another movie character which gives credibility to this movie is the 3 lovely cupids. They were adorable. I remember there's a scene where Larry was trying to hide from the bad guys at the fountain. Then, this 3 cupids came alive and started to sing love songs because he was with Amelia, a pilot woman. Ow... it's funny yet sweet. I like that scene. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture of the scene to upload. This is Amelia, a straight-forward and brave gal.

Overall, the movie was better than Night At The Museum 1. The cinema hall was filled with laughter. We enjoyed the movie very much. After that, we search for a nice and quiet place to 'yumcha' and we end up at 'I Love Loo!!' , a stall that serve porridge, soya bean and "yau zha kuai". The porridge taste quite nice--- not too salty. Porridge is my favourite food. Moreover, it's not expensive----- RM3.90 for porridge and 'yau zha kuai'.

One of my friend ordered soya bean with "yau zha kuai" and the price is also the same. My friend said the soya bean is nice. But, I don't like soya bean. We chit-chat while enjoying the food. Before calling the day off, we decide to visit Pet Wonderland. Long time didn't step into the shop. Kinda miss it... I saw my favourite type of dogs ---- Siberian Husky and Golden Retriever puppy. Pet Wonderland didn't change quite much.
